Creating QR Codes

Hello, Grade 7’s! Please find below a detailed step-by-step instruction for how to record your presentation and create a QR Code for it.

For this, you will need the following:

– a Smartphone/Tablet

– access to a computer

– a QR code reader

– a Voice Recording App (most Smartphones/Tablets come with these)

– access to a printer

– your pizza

– the script we learned in class.

Now, follow these steps:

1. Use your voice memo app on your Smartphone/Tablet to record your dialogue.

2. Rename it with you and your partner’s names so that it is not just ‘Voicememo1’ etc.

3. Email the file to yourself. (Some Smartphones or tablets have a ‘share’ feature that lets you choose from different options, one of them being email.) *Some Smartphones have the option of sending a file directly to Dropbox. If you can do this, you will eliminate a step.

4. Upload your recording to a website. In this case, we will be using Dropbox. If you have another program that is equivalent to this, you can use that.

5. Click on your uploaded audio file to open it in a separate webpage.

6. Copy the link (URL) to your audio file. Then, go to:http://www.qrstuff.com/    and paste your link into the box.

7. Click on the ‘print’ button to save your QR code.

8. Choose what layout you would like and print off your QR codes.

9. Eventually, you will cut it out and glue it on the back of your pizza.
